Itinerary*

Belem Tower - LisbonDay 1: USA / Lisbon
Our journey begins as we depart on our transatlantic flight to Lisbon, Portugal. Meals and drinks will be served aloft.

Day 2: Lisbon / Fatima
Upon arrival in Lisbon, we will be greeted by our tour escort who will accompany us on a panoramic tour of Lisbon with visits to the Basilica of St. Antony of Padua and the famous Belem Tower. We will continue on the Santarem, where we will have Holy Mass at the Church of St. Stephen, a home to one of the oldest Eucharistic miracles in the world. We will proceed to Fatima.

Day 3: Fatima
This morning we will celebrate Holy Mass in the Little Chapel of Apparitions. With great reverence and joyful in spirit, we will tour the Basilica and visit the tombs of Francisco and Jacinta, on the Cova da Iria. We will continue on to visit the Aljustrel, the hamlet where the three children lived, and then the Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared after the children's return from prison. We will visit the Parish Church where the seers were baptized, and the cemetery where Francisco and Jacinta were buried. After dinner, we will join the pilgrims from throughout the world for the nightly Rosary Procession.

Day 4: Fatima / Avila, Spain
This morning, we will depart Fatima, and will cross the border into Spain. Our pilgrimage is enhanced by the beauty and majestic sight of the beautiful city of Avila, the city of Kings and of Saints. Enriched by the medieval walls and cobblestone streets, we will trace the life of St. Teresa of Avila. We will visit the Monastery of Incarnation, St. Teresa's cell, and the Cathedral of Avila.

Day 5: Avila / Santo Domingo de Silos
A new day begins as we will drive out to the town of Santo Domingo de Silos. The Monastery of Santo Domingo de Silos is home of the Benedictine Monks. As many have recently heard, it is their recordings of the Gregorian chant that has helped popularize the Church's treasury of sacred music and chant. We will attend the services at the Monastery, including the solemn Mass and the Liturgy of the Hours.

Basilica of The Immaculate Conception - LourdesDay 6: Santo Domingo / Garabandal
With great excitement, we begin our day for a picturesque drive through the Spanish countryside for our ascent into the Cantabrian Mountains and the remote village of Garabandal. It is this site of Garabandal where you will hear the stillness of the wind and see the beauty of the mountains. We will explore the exact area where today the nine pine trees still stand where Our Lady appeared to the four children. Garabandal is a place where as pilgrims, we can truly pray and reflect - whether in the village church, the mountains or by the pine trees. You will hear the eyewitnesses' account of the amazing events which occurred between 1961 and 1965.

 

Day 7: Garabandal / Lourdes, France
With gratefulness and joy, we begin early for our departure to France. We will enjoy a very scenic drive through the Pyrenees Mountains for our arrival to Lourdes. This is the great pilgrimage center where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette eighteen times in 1858. We will arrive in the evening so we will participate in the Candlelight Procession.

Day 8: Lourdes
Today we will dedicate our entire day to Our Lady of Lourdes and begin with Holy Mass at the Grotto of Apparitions. Our guided walking tour will be escorted by an experienced pilgrimage guide who will show us the Basilica of St. Pius X, Holy Mill where Bernadette was born, the Basilica of the Rosary, Miraculous Spring and the healing baths.

Day 9: Lourdes / Paris / Nevers
Our pilgrimage guide will meet us and drive south through the picturesque area of Loire valley to Nevers. It is here in Nevers where St. Bernadette of Lourdes spent her last 13 years of life. We will see her incorrupt body with the historical documents, her clothing, the convent grounds with the paths she walked, the Statue of Our Lady of Waters and the beautiful Replica of Lourdes Grotto.Notre Dame Cathedral - Paris

Day 10: Nevers / Lisieux / Paris
Today our pilgrimage takes us to another beloved saint, St. Therese, the "Little Flower". We drive to Lisieux where we visit the home of St. Therese and her three sisters who were professed saints in the late 1800s. On display for the pilgrims are the Little Flower's relics, clothing and personal objects. After our visit, we will continue to Paris, the "City of Lights".

Day 11: Paris
While in Paris, there are notable areas where sightseeing is a must! We will see such sights as: Champs-Elysees, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame Cathedral, Sacred Heart Basilica, and Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Chapel at Rue du Bac. It is here where we will have Holy Mass. In the afternoon, you will have time to shop, explore and visit sights on your own.

Day 12: Paris / USA
Today we conclude our joyous Marian pilgrimage. We will be transferred to the airport for our flight home.
