FFHL Summer Appeal
Christians in the Holy Land know they have a very special mission given to them by God.
Summer belongs to children. It’s a time for unstructured play, exploring the
outdoors, and a break from schoolwork and schedules. But for children living in the Holy Land, summer is often just a continuation of the strife and conflict they face every day.
With your generous support, Franciscan Foundation for the Holy Land can continue to provide safe activities for children during the summer months. While Christian families continue to face the consequences of being a minority religion in an unstable political and economical environment, FFHL strives to be a rock and provide solitude in times of distress.
As always, our mission is to preserve Christianity in the Holy Land and we are fully committed to supporting Christian families. Our program, Children Without Borders, provides a bright spot in kid’s lives during the summer, bringing children from different regions of the Holy Land together through the fun of soccer. These sports-based camps teach children that despite different backgrounds they can find common interests.
Through play and healthy competition, sports instill in them from a young age the lessons and knowledge to lead a life dedicated to peaceful interaction. This, in turn, can form the foundation for a brighter future for the country as a whole.
Children Without Borders and other adolescent-focused FFHL programs, like our Christian Family Centers, would not be possible without the support of our generous donors. We are grateful, as always, for your contributions in helping us ensure there is a Christian presence in the Holy Land and that children’s needs are supported.
We humbly ask that you consider a gift at this time to help benefit Christian families. Sadly, these people, the Living Stones of the Holy Land, have faced conflict because of their faith in God for decades. Your donation can
make a difference.
On behalf of our Christian brothers and sisters in the Holy Land we thank you for your generosity.
I carry you in my prayers always.
Yours in the spirit of Saint Francis,
-Fr. Peter F. Vasko, OFM
